Like you, I didn't see COVID coming. But like the Chinese, I believe crisis is really opportunity in disguise. Who knew this belief would serendipitously land me at Chinatown Artist Lofts in Honolulu, Hawaii, but it did. If that's not kismet, I don't know what is. Goodbye New York City, Aloha Paradise!
Thank you—err, "Mahalo"—to Hawaii Academy of Performing Arts for naming me "Artist-in-Residence". By definition, an art residency "provides the artist a new environment away from everyday distractions to nurture freedom, self-discovery, experimentation and creative awakenings for new work". Chinatown Artist Lofts is a magical place for reflection, inspiration and artistic growth, and permits me the dedicated time, space and focus to evolve my medium to new heights.
I'm excited to bring more to my customer—more designs, more glamour, more attitude—and expand her travel wardrobe beyond bikinis. Say "Aloha!" to The Gypsy Skirt, the first in a collection of statement skirts from Elizabeth Kosich New York.
